Takenlife is a charitable trust providing a safe place on-line to remember loved ones taken by violence and homicide. Families can place a tribute to honour their loved one, additional tributes can be added along with photos. The ripple effect of violence and homicide in our communities is far reaching and it is critical we remember every life that is taken. Sharing our stories and tributes is an essential part to finding healing and the path back to life again. Remembering collectively as a society is so important to making a difference. Elie Wiesel, holocoust survivor, says "To forget would not be dangerous but offensive; to forget the dead would be akin to killing them a second time".
