About us

St John’s Crisis Centre has been providing support services and emergency relief to individuals and families in need on the Gold Coast for over 37 years. Our clients have varied backgrounds, demographics and reasons for engaging our help, some of these are: domestic violence; poverty; disadvantage; homelessness; mental health; addiction and inequality. It’s our mission to provide support services wherever possible, with the ultimate goal of improving the general welfare of the community. Some of the services we provide annually: Over 19,000 meals each year; over 1,300 food/ clothing parcels; 1300 welfare interviews; 800 school lunches; $20k emergency accommodation; gocards; telstra cards; fuel cards; chemist vouchers; grocery vouchers; christmas hampers and gifts; laundry facilities; shower facilities; community welfare nurse; centrelink assistance; Mission Australia disability job provider; homeless health outreach; JP services; dentalservice; clinical psychologist; NDIS; hairdresser
