Southern Counties Rescue is a small animal rescue incorporated in California as a 501C3 in December, 2011. Our goal is to substantially reduce the number of cats and kittens living on the streets in Southern California. We do this by supporting low cost/free spay neuter clinics, rescuing unwanted cats and kittens from streets, peoples yards and kill shelters, placing them into foster homes until they are fully vetted and adopted into their forever home. We place around 350 cats and kittens every year.  

SCR currently has over 300 cats in foster homes. While in foster care, our cats are vetted as we would our own personal cats. that means if they need dentals, bloodwork, surgeries or expensive treatments we provide these in addition to spay/neuters, deworming, vaccines, flea protection, testing and microchips. 

To date we have rescued and placed over 4500 animals. We receive no government funding, relying solely on fundraisers, donations and grants from our supporters and organizations.
