We provide training and an opportunity to provide emergency communications services to our local county and state governments when normal communications are interrupted or unavailable. Ham radio gets through when nothing else can, and we are entirely independent of all infrastructure and commercial communications. Our members are there to communicate with and for emergency services at every level, from across the parking lot to around the world. Donations help fund additional equipment and training for our members to retain their response readiness. It is not a question of if we are needed, only one of when we will be needed.
