We are an Equine Rescue located in the Shenandoah Valley. Most of our horses are brought in from animal control seizures. Horses are then rehabbed, evalutated for appropriate homes, and hopefully adopted. Those that have health issues and cannot be adopted remain at sanctuary until their time to cross the rainbow bridge comes. SVERN works with community outreach and education as well, opening our barn doors to many other organizations that include youth and the disadvantaged. Our hope is to provide healing to all creatures through the postivie interaction with rescue horses.
