Shakuntala Society for Welfare of Animals and Nature (S.W.A.N.) is a registered non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of animals and protecting the environment through rescue, rehabilitation, education, advocacy, and community engagement. Based in Hyderabad, Telangana, SWAN works to create a compassionate society where humans, animals, and nature coexist in harmony.

Our work includes rescuing injured, abandoned, abused, and distressed animals, providing emergency veterinary care, rehabilitation, shelter, and responsible adoption whenever possible. We support humane street animal management through sterilization, vaccination, and public awareness programs in accordance with animal welfare laws and scientific best practices.

SWAN actively conducts anti-rabies vaccination campaigns, promotes responsible pet ownership, and educates communities about animal welfare, disease prevention, and peaceful coexistence with street animals. Through workshops, awareness drives, school outreach programs, and volunteer initiatives, we inspire compassion and encourage public participation in protecting animals.

We also advocate for stronger animal welfare policies, support the effective implementation of animal protection laws, and collaborate with government agencies, veterinarians, educational institutions, and other organizations to improve animal welfare standards.
