Sea-Changers is a volunteer run charity that gives grants to UK marine conservation projects. We raise our funds through innovative partnerships with our business partners and through individual supporters. Our vision is to create a world where the seas and shores are clean and healthy and marine species are protected. We believe that the best people to care for the UK’s coasts and coastal wildlife are those who have a vested interest: the people who live, work and play there. Our grants enable local people to preserve, clean up and raise awareness about the coastal environments they love. We award grants of between £500 and £2,500 twice a year through an open application process. Even a small amount of funding at a community level provides huge impact. Over 500 grants have been issued since 2012, many involving practical action like beach cleaning, but also educational activity and scientific research. We also have unique funding streams available.
