About us
Save the Golden Lion Tamarin is a US non-profit organization founded in 2005 to support conservation of the Golden Lion Tamarin, an endangered monkey native to the Atlantic Forest of the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, including: field monitoring, habitat restoration and protection, environmental education, strategic planning and institutional capacity building for Associação Mico Leão Dourado, a Brazilian non-profit organization dedicated to conservation of the species and habitat preservation.
