Save Our Babies Charitable Trust (SOBCT) is dedicated to empowering family affected by domestic violence & sexual abuse through a range of volunteer-led initiatives. Our mission, "Empowering Whānau/family," focuses on creating safe spaces and providing essential resources for women, children, and men who have experienced abuse, guiding them on their journey to rebuild their lives. From the Founder to every volunteer, our team is committed to making a lasting impact.We host "Cuppa & Korero," a weekly support session where women can openly share their stories and heal together. Our "Full Puku Full Potential" initiative provides free lunches to local children in Rotorua, enhancing their educational outcomes. Additionally, "Boutique of Aroha" offers free clothing to the community, ensuring access to essential items.The "Running to Stop It Campaign," a biennial event led by our Founder Kahira-Rata Olley, raises awareness of domestic violence and sexual abuse through significant distance running and sharing powerful survival stories. The "UnSilenced" Runway Event further amplifies these voices, featuring models, male and female who are survivors of abuse, symbolizing resilience and empowerment.SOBCT also organizes events to inspire those enduring abuse to make positive changes for themselves and their families. Through our events and holistic support services, we empower survivors, shift attitudes toward family violence, and promote healing within our community.
