The New Zealand Football Foundation is a Charitable Trust established in 2011 to support the growth and development of community football in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Foundation believes in the power of football as a universal language to build stronger communities and make a real difference to the lives of New Zealanders. To date we have given out over $2million to community football projects, programmes and events.We partner with others to support projects that remove barriers to football participation, and increase opportunities across football governance, coaching and refereeing. We prioritize investment in projects that make a significant and meaningful difference to women and girls, and those who have limited access to social and economic resources and opportunities compared to the general population. In addition to supporting projects across New Zealand we seek to diversify our income through a donations, partnerships and grants. We have a volunteer board who apply a long-term lens to the investment of our core fund to ensure our capacity to support the growth and development of football in New Zealand for generations to come.
