Sadly, the incredible San Diego River Ecoregion is at risk. Years of over development, pollution and poor planning has taken its toll. A globally significant ecosysem is so fragmented its rich biodiversity is threatened, the health of the 52 mile waterway is so terrible it was considered "dead," and people had given up on this River. We seek to change that. We engage people at a fundamental level by organizing meaningful actions they can do to have an impact. We conduct river cleanups, monitor the health of the river, document threatened wildlife, and provide education to students. We collect money to buy threatened lands so these special places and the wildlife that depends upon them are saved forever. Then we organize people to care for those lands and heal them when needed.
