About us
Ryedale Special Families provide amazing support to families who have disabled children or children with additional needs. We support children aged from birth to 25 years old and you do not need to have a diagnosis to join us.
We are a family centred and led charity providing services to local families developed and responding to families needs. These include;
- Family activities to bring people together, make friends and share experiences
- Specialist social groups for children and young people aged 8 to 25 years, to develop independence and promote friendships and social skills
- A flexible care service providing commissioned support to those with complex needs
- A specialist education service to enable disengaged young people to be inspired and gain skills for the future
- Really helpful advice and guidance on a wide range of subjects, education, benefits, housing, funding and much more
Like all charities we need support from our friends, local community and beyond to be able to continue our services and give these families and disabled young people the services they deserve. We welcome and are very grateful for your support.
We work in Ryedale, North Yorkshire, the rural area between York and Scarborough.
