About us

Repair Network Aotearoa Trust is a not-for-profit trust dedicated to cultivating a robust repair culture throughout New Zealand. The Trust's purpose is to foster a repair culture in Aotearoa New Zealand, particularly practical and accessible community repair opportunities, and to advocate for repair services, repair education/training and right to repair legislation.

The Trust umbrellas Repair Café Aotearoa NZ (RCANZ), which supports over 80 Repair Cafés operating in New Zealand as of September 2025. The organisation addresses the need for accessible repair options across the country, inviting communities, businesses, schools, universities, libraries, advocacy groups, and government to join the Repair Movement. Through showcasing a variety of projects, initiatives, and solutions, they cultivate repair skills and knowledge sharing, fostering a culture of responsible consumption.

Their work helps reduce waste, fosters community connections, and advocates for the Right to Repair, aligning with broader goals of waste minimisation and climate justice. The Trust represents a grassroots movement with national reach, working to transform New Zealand's relationship with consumption and waste through practical community action and systemic advocacy.
