Embrace Education is a university student-run charity providing free tutoring and educational support to high school students from refugee, asylum seeker, recent migrant, and low socioeconomic backgrounds across Melbourne.
We believe education is a powerful equaliser. Our mission is to inspire and empower disadvantaged students to realise their potential through learning. Each year, our dedicated volunteers deliver free tutoring through Homework Clubs, In-School Tutoring and Individual Tutoring programs.
Our support helps students build confidence, improve academic outcomes and feel a greater sense of connection to their education. Many of the students we work with face unique challenges, and our tailored approach ensures they receive the consistent support and encouragement they need to thrive.
Founded in 2006 by Monash University students and expanded to the University of Melbourne in 2016, Embrace Education is led by passionate young people committed to equal access to education.
