Puppy Dog Ranch Rescue & Sanctuary is a very small, home based volunteer run no kill, no cage 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue and lifetime sanctuary for blind, deaf, special needs and senior dogs. We became established in rural southwest New Mexico in April 2009. Currently, because we have extremely limited funding and help, we are focused solely on caring for our 15 rescued special needs and senior dogs, helping them live the lives they deserve --in the founder's small home sanctuary on a little piece of land in the desert country, retrofitted for special needs dogs surrounded by love in the quiet desert country, receiving hugs, kisses, treats, appropriate care, compassion, comfort, safety and fun! Veterinary costs, prescription meds and supplements as well as special dietary foods are always high. When we are able to, we will rescue or take in additional special needs dogs or pups on a case by case, emergency basis. Frustratingly at this time we have lost our long time corporate sponsor as well as our fundraising efforts through social media. We have one palliative foster home for 3 of our seniors rescued dogs who have been with us for 16 years and very limited volunteers, so if we were able to rescue a dog he/she would have to be sponsored. Our 4 volunteers and board members take care of the dogs 24/7 who live with PDR's founder and president's small home.

Puppy Dog Ranch Rescue & Sanctuary is 100% dependent on kind donations to continue operating. We can proudly say we have rescued over 400 dogs and puppies since our inception and through our affordable spay & neuter community program, in one year we were able to spay & neuter 200 dogs and cats throughout 100 rural miles!
