At Project NOW, we strengthen our region by helping people help themselves and one another. Through strategic partnerships, we work to eliminate the root causes of poverty and alleviate the challenges faced by vulnerable communities in Rock Island, Henry, and Mercer Counties.

Our comprehensive services include Head Start programs for 200 preschoolers, utility assistance for over 5,000 households, food and homeless services, rent and deposit help, eviction and youth diversion, permanent affordable housing, and emergency support like dental care, car repairs, furnace repair, and weatherization.

We proudly serve more than 3,000 seniors with home-delivered meals, congregate dining, transportation, and information services. Our Rock Island County Rural Transportation program provides on-demand public transit at a low cost.

Project NOW is part of a nationwide network of community action agencies born from the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964, dedicated to fighting poverty in America.
