Pacific Opera is the Young Artists’ opera company. We provide training and performance opportunities for talented young Australians, giving them the tools they need to equip them for a career as a star on the opera stage, both here at home in Australia and overseas. In our almost 15 years of operation, we have helped more than 100 young stars to shine more brightly, and we have many successful alumni of our program who are currently performing in prestigious opera houses all around the world, including with Australian's own national company. There is so much value in the work of Pacific Opera, but unfortunately our funds are very low. We offer fifteen fully-funded scholarships to deserving young artists each year and fundraise to support ourselves. In today's economic climate, that's getting harder and harder to do. We're seeking a new audience and finding new ways to sustain ourselves into the future.
