We are a smaller breed dog rescue that takes in many puppos with major medical and behavioral issues. From sick puppies to seniors who are in need of hospice care and a safe place to lay their heads. We never turn away a sick dog in need. Medical bills can be staggering and we borrow from Peter to pay Paul on a daily basis to get these poor babies healthy and to give them a quality of life they wouldn't have had anywhere else. If an animal is so ill that it cannot survive without pain and distress, we at least can honor them by surrounding them with kindness and love on their journey to the Rainbow Bridge. No animal should suffer alone, whether out in the elements or on a cold metal table under harsh lights in a shelter. 

Many senior dogs are surrendered to shelters each day because their person cannot afford the astronomical fees that many vets want to perform euthanasia on someone's cherished companion. When we see these dogs our hearts literally break for them. People on fixed incomes have a hard enough time paying for day-to-day expenses, let alone the hundreds of dollars, usually over $400 to $500, that most vets demand.  

Any animal entering our care and are suffering and need to be sent home to the Bridge are never alone when they embark on their final journey and are privately cremated and brought back to us. This, and other medical expenses for dogs that can be helped are taken on to honor them and do what is right by them. 

We have saved many puppy mill dogs that were no longer considered productive reproducers and puppies born with birth defects and genetic diseases. These animals have lived their lives in hell and deserve a chance at a good life. They are all Gods creatures and because of that we have to keep going. 

When no one else will stand up we do! When other rescues are going to euthanize a dog because they don't want to incur the costs of treatment we take them and do whatever is necessary.
