Operation American Soldier (OAS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting deployed U.S. service members and reminding them that they are never forgotten. Since 2002, OAS has sent “Cheerboxes” — care packages filled with practical essentials, comfort items, snacks, and personal messages from home — to troops serving around the world.

Our mission goes beyond sending packages. We create a direct and meaningful connection between Americans at home and the men and women serving far from their families. Each Cheerbox is a tangible reminder that people back home care, appreciate their sacrifice, and are thinking about them.

OAS also supports military families here at home, including children and families experiencing the challenges of deployment. Through care packages, special projects, community partnerships, and volunteer efforts, we bring people together to show our service members and their families that they are not alone.

For more than two decades, OAS has been powered by volunteers, donors, businesses, schools, community organizations, and individuals who believe in giving back to those who serve our country. Every contribution helps us continue our mission of supporting our deployed troops and strengthening the connection between home and those serving on the front lines.
