About us

At NSW Hen Rescue we liberate hens and other animals from factory farms. The hens we rescue have often suffered illness, starvation or injury during their time in the agriculture industry. After rescue, we give them the vet treatment they need as well as plenty of love and care. When the hens are well enough they are placed into loving, forever homes with people who love hens, not eggs. Some of the special needs animals stay with us as permanent family members. We share the stories of the rescued hens as a way to show people how wonderful chickens are, to shine a spotlight on their individual personalities and to demonstrate how chickens suffer for something so unnecessary as eggs or meat. By donating to NSW Hen Rescue you can directly influence how many hens we can afford to rehabilitate. You can change the lives of hens who are right this moment crammed into a battery cage. Without your help the only way out for these caged hens, will be on slaughter day. With your help these girls will soon be able to dust bath, scratch in the dirt, sunbathe and flap their wings.
