Founded in 2010, NMDOG has been in the forefront of efforts to expand anti-tethering ordinances across the state of New Mexico and has played a crucial role in the rescue, rehabilitation, and re-homing of hundreds of dogs from some of the most severe cruelty cases.

At NMDOG, our mission is to improve the lives of New Mexico's most vulnerable dogs and their human guardians by way of Outreach, Education, Advocacy, Spay and Neuter and Anti-chaining efforts.

Vision statement:

At NMDOG, we envision a future where all of New Mexico's dogs are valued as sentient beings and companion animals living under humane conditions. We aspire to see these values supported by City, County and State legislation, as well as accessible public and Animal Welfare resource programs, proactive education and enforcement.
