We are a small charity in Porirua, Wellington.  We empower children to learn from and through nature play.  We run child led free-play programmes in nature, where children are empowered and grow through taking risks, playing in nature, and challenging themselves, while learning in the way that works best for them.  We are not a registered school, so are reliant on donations and grants to provide our resources and programmes.  One day a week is our fee free programme; run in a high deprivation area, for children that may not normally get the opportunities we offer.  We provide all the food, educators and resources so that everyone gets the chance to come and play and learn in nature with us.  We promote manaakitanga for each other and kaitiakitanga/guardianship of the beautiful places we play.  We regularly clean up, plant trees, trap pests etc to take care of papatuānuku.
