Thousands of wild horses and burros are brutally rounded up by helicopters by the Bureau of Land Management and other government agencies each year. Without help, they languish in government feedlots or sold for potential slaughter in Canada and Mexico. Some unscrupulous adopters abuse and neglect them.
National Treasure provides safe sanctuary and loving care for as many as possible. This ensures that those we save get the very best care and a permanent home. We gently earn trust and love which results in happy healthy horses and burros.
