Mossburn Community Farm Cover Photo

Mossburn Community Farm was originally set up in 1990 and now cares for a wide range of misused, abused, unwanted and neglected animals as well as offering spaces where possible to animals whose owners can no longer look after them. We currently have just over 100 animals including horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, poultry and more! Our animals are as free range as we can allow them to be so we provide a great peaceful environment where visitors can get up close to the animals.

As well as the animal side of things, Mossburn provides support for young people and adults with additional needs (physical, emotional, behavioural and mental) via our Animal Assisted Therapy programmes, through offering work experience placements, running our weekly Mossburn Experience Group (where individuals with additional needs gain life skills and help to care for the animals), hosting dementia friendly activity sessions along with Alzheimer's Scotland, and more.
