Devastated by the loss of their soul animal at just one year of age, Randell and Jenna Parker founded Monkey’s Wish Foundation in honor of their baby, Monkey. Monkey was diagnosed just after his first birthday with a rare disease discovered in 2003 that has tragically seen a huge spike in the number of cases recently, Disseminated Idiopathic Myofasciitis. Monkey's Wish Foundation is dedicated to:

Finding a cure for DIM through:
- funding research
- raising awareness
- sponsoring treatments
- taking in ferrets with DIM
- Taking in ferrets from abuse or neglect cases
