The Milwaukee Community Sailing Center is a private, not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 agency located just north of downtown in the heart of Veterans Park at McKinley Marina. MCSC's mission is to promote sailing and make Lake Michigan available to everyone in the Milwaukee community through quality programming. The Milwaukee Community Sailing Center has been providing access to sailing to Milwaukee residents and guests since 1979. MCSC owns and maintains over 80 boats and members have no-charge access to the fleet after they successfully demonstrate basic sailing skills and earn a rating.  Each summer, MCSC partners with local organizations to provide sailing opportunities to thousands of at-risk and economically disadvantaged youth, the physically challenged, and others. Our innovative STEMward program is providing an interactive approach to learning about math and the sciences in area middle schools through the integration of the subjects as they relate to the science behind sailing. MCSC also provides social activities and volunteer opportunities to members.

Your gift ensures that we will continue to provide thousands of people educational opportunities to explore our most beautiful asset, Lake Michigan, while experiencing the exhilaration of harnessing the power of nature and gliding across the Bay or out into the vastness beyond the breakwall. The leadership and team building skills acquired on the water are life skills that last a lifetime and can transform a person of any age, measure of wealth or physical attribute.
