As an introduction, Medics Across Continents (MAC), is a medical aid charity committed to providing free medical surgeries for underprivileged populations around the globe. Our headquarters are in London, but we have a global reach. Our charity is comprised of a devoted team of over 1,500 physicians who generously offer their expertise and services free of charge, all for the noble cause of saving and improving lives. Our work has taken us to 45 countries across the globe, focusing primarily on regions in Africa and Southeast Asia where access to quality medical care is often limited and areas are affected by conflict or natural disasters. The NHS, UNICEF, UNFPA, and The Global Fund are among our partners. Since our inception, we have completed over 200,000 surgeries, positively impacting innumerable lives. We genuinely believe that everyone, irrespective of age, gender, race, or religion, should have access to basic healthcare. Our surgical procedures include the removal of cataracts, fistulas, and goiters, as well as safer deliveries, mental health support, and emergency disaster response.
