Made New Makerspace is a community workshop where people of all ages can come to learn new skills, build creative projects, and gain access to tools and equipment they might not otherwise have. From woodworking and sewing to electronics, 3D printing, and robotics, we’re a place where ideas can become reality.

But we’re also a lot more than that. What sets Made New Makerspace apart from many other makerspaces is our mission. We’re a 501c3 nonprofit organization, with a mission to empower foster and underserved youth for their success in a community that promotes learning, collaboration, and creation.

Our programs have been built from the ground up to equip youth for success. Our programming for youth includes:

• Laptops for Learners - this is a program where youth from low income families can receive a free refurbished laptop at no cost, enabling them to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

• STRONG Life Skills - in this innovative program, youth learn the soft skills they need to be successful in the workplace.

• Classes & Workshops - this program teaches youth the hands-on skills they need to succeed, from STEM skills like laser engraving and 3D printing, all the way to high demand trade skills like welding and carpentry.

• Mobile Makerspace - we bring our tools and training out to the community in this program where we have created a portable version of our organization's makerspace that we can bring anywhere where there's a need.

Ultimately, our goal is simple - find foster and underserved youth, and give them the tools, training, and technology they need to have a chance at success. Since our inception in 2018, we've been hard at work in our community, supporting more than 7,500 youth, making a difference one life at a time.
