Last Hope K9 Rescue (LHK9) is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit all-breed dog rescue based in Massachusetts, dedicated to saving abandoned, neglected, and abused dogs from high-kill shelters in Central Arkansas and beyond. We don’t discriminate based on age, pre-existing medical condition, or breed, because every dog deserves to know love. LHK9 is 100% volunteer-run, with no paid staff or board members. 

Since our organization was founded in 2012, our all-volunteer team has rescued over 12,000 at-risk dogs and placed them in loving adoptive homes. We are entirely foster-based and do not have a physical shelter location - all our dogs are cared for by foster families throughout Massachusetts. Last Hope K9 Rescue also seeks to educate the communities in which we work. From raising awareness about the benefits of spay/neuter and preventative care to advocating for an end to harmful breed-specific legislation, we actively work to inform the public about important topics related to animal welfare.
