We at Langar Seva, a Canadian Charity have been working for over ten years to provide free of cost meals, emotional and Personal Support Worker services to over 160 elderly and individuals with complex health needs. These are ageing people, who are home bound, bed ridden, usually lonely and left out. They are unable to walk and do their daily chores, let alone cooking food and doing grocery for themselves. Our goal is to raise funds and run a program to ensure that no senior goes hungry or feels alone. We deliver freshly cooked, culturally apt food directly to their homes to address nutritional and support needs. We also provide the, emotional assistance and companionship so as to enable them to age with dignity, comfort, and the support they truly deserve.
