Created in 2019, the Puerto Rico Institute for Economic Liberty (ILE) is a non-profit, registered in Puerto Rico and the United States (1101.01 (a)(2)(B), 501(c)(3)), a non-partisan institution. In its role as a developer of ideas, ILE's goal is to identify and remove barriers in the public sector, providing greater opportunities for Puerto Rico residents to progress and promoting prosperity for all in a market economy. Through dialogue and collaboration with diverse sectors, ILE seeks to promote economic public policy supported by scientific research; support ideas and initiatives based on free market principles; provide the government with solutions to problems and situations that interfere with freedom and the individual's potential for innovation and entrepreneurship; and educate and involve the people in reforms that create opportunities.
