About us

Human Response Network (HRN) is the community-based organization located in Trinity County, California. HRN began in 1980 as a grass roots movement to assist pregnant women who were experiencing domestic violence. Through the years HRN has grown to assist clients who are survivors of domestic violence or sexual assault, run a crisis line, assist clients with emergency housing, transportation vouchers for medical or social service appointments, tobacco education, rape prevention education, youth empowerment programs, assistance with childcare, resource and referral, Early Head Start, California State Preschool, a summer school age child care program, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) shoe vouchers for school age children, bike helmets and car seats. HRN is a grant funded agency located in a remote, rural section of Northern California, donating to HRN allows us to continue the services listed above regardless of if there is grant funding available or not. As HRN is the only agency in Trinity County to provide these services donations are essential to help us to continue to empower the citizens of Trinity County.
