About us
We at Idaho Horse Rescue have been dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of abused and neglected horses in our community for 30 years. We have been a federally recognized 501-c(3) since 2011, and we were accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries in 2019 for our standards of excellence.
Our Mission:
ā¢To identify abuse by means of community participation and involvement
ā¢To rescue horses from environments of neglect or abuse
ā¢To rehabilitate rescued horses by providing training and veterinary care
ā¢To coordinate "for lifeā adoption services into suitable and approved homes
ā¢To offer equine education and training to horse owners in our community
ā¢To give refuge: providing a peaceful, safe and loving home for horses in need
ā¢To facilitate the surrender of horses by owners unable to adequately care for them and horses referred by State Control Officers and agencies.
