Herd On The Ridge Inc is an Australian registered charity based in the Upper Hunter Valley of New South Wales. Our organisation rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes horses, dogs and cats that have been abandoned, neglected, mistreated or surrendered. Every animal that comes into our care receives veterinary support, rehabilitation, patience and compassion while we work to restore their health, confidence and trust.

Where rehoming is not possible and where possible, animals are given lifelong sanctuary in a safe and peaceful environment where their welfare needs are met and exceeded. We believe every animal deserves dignity, safety and the opportunity to live without fear.

Beyond animal rescue, Herd On The Ridge is being built as a place of connection. Animals have an incredible ability to bring people together, support healing and create moments of calm and belonging. Our vision is to foster stronger communities by creating opportunities for people to engage with animals in a positive and meaningful way, supporting improved mental health, reducing isolation and helping people reconnect with nature, purpose and each other.
