Harrogate Cat Rescue exists to promote and safeguard the welfare of cats and kittens in the North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire areas.  We support our communities through education on the essential needs of cats and kittens, such as neutering, as well as with the care and rehoming of abandoned, neglected and abused cats and kittens through our network of fosterers. We believe that no cat should suffer or be put to sleep unnecessarily, and that every cat deserves food, shelter, care and compassion. We bring into rescue cats that have been abandoned, from farms, domestic settings, ensuring that they are brought back to full health in an enriching environment, before being available for adoption. Through our services, not only do we promote animal welfare but are also mental health advocates, contributing to positive mental health, through accepting cats from stressed individuals, to those who need the companionship and love from a cat. We do not receive any public funding, and are completely reliant on fundraising and donations from the public. With vet bills in excess of £7000 per month, and an average of over 120 cats and kittens in foster at any time, we are hugely grateful for any donation.
