Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation is a U.S. 501(c)(3) charitable not-for-profit. We advocate on behalf of women and girls against FGM, focusing on the United States and West Africa. The acronym in our name stands for “People Everywhere, All Created Equal.” FGM is a human rights violation. Girls and women worldwide deserve the right to bodily integrity and health. Join with us to eradicate FGM. Our programs prevent FGM through education and advocacy, and support the physical, psychological, and emotional rehabilitation of survivors of FGM. GWPF helps to rehabilitate FGM survivors through psychological counseling, vaginal restorative surgery, and physical therapy along with asylum applications, legal representation, resume compilation, cover letter, personal reference, relocation, and job-hunting. We have an outstanding success rate with this program. The Prevention Program includes the Lisa C. Bruch Scholarship Fund, the Donald A. Strong Scholarship Fund and the Sanitary Pads Campaign. This program trains law enforcement and educators to recognize at-risk girls and women and take appropriate action to protect them against FGM and hold responsible parties accountable.
