Fur Fun Rescue is a non-profit, all-volunteer, foster-based dog rescue with 2 missions:

ADOPTION. We take dogs, mainly from crowded high-kill shelters, & place them in foster homes. We specialize in taking hard-to-adopt, medical needs dogs that others can’t or won’t treat. All dogs are fully vetted & medical concerns addressed. Foster families teach basic obedience & correct any behavioral issues. Dogs are then matched with carefully screened adopters, via background checks & visits (meet-and-greet & home) with all family members & pets. Unlike quick store events, we want our adoptions to be the right fit.

COMMUNITY SERVICES. We reach out to local shelters, taking dogs in emergencies (hoarders, abuse/neglect), mentoring these shelters, & teaching better dog care & records. We stay in touch with all adopters, answering questions & giving training (often in-home). We provide extensive education (~18 hr/wk) to our community. We answer all calls & provide help to many residents (from dog info to wildlife questions to daily calls about lost dogs for which we lend traps & search volunteers). These are hard calls that other rescues don’t take. We do every day. We are never closed.

We thus serve people as well as dogs!
