Friends with Dignity is a collaborative national Not For Profit focused on improving the quality of life of any Adult and Child impacted by Domestic Violence through the provision of financial and tangible resources, programs and scholarships and enhancing the personal safety of individuals.

Our vision is to help ease the impact of Domestic Violence on Individuals and the Community regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or sexuality.

We have several programs, providing practical solutions to those affected by Domestic Violence.  Our Sanctuary Program transforms houses into homes for people who have escaped domestic violence to start their new journey with dignity, free from abuse.  Typically they would have fled a dangerous situation with only a few belongings stuffed in a plastic bag.  This means they have to start all over again.  We furnish their sanctuary homes with all the items need, beds, fridge, washing machine, cutlery & crockery, linen, tv, lounge & dining suite etc. 

It often is the difference between the young children sleeping on the floor, versus having a bed and a warm meal.

We also have a scholarship program which aim is to award scholarships of up to $500 each, to both school or extracurricular activities.   The program has been running for 6 years and has awarded in the region of 800 scholarships to date, approaching half a million dollars in value.

With little to no government funding, we are solely dependent on discretionary donations, such as yours.
