About us
Built upon a old capped landfill, Vultures Knob is a nonprofit mountain bike trail that works to preserve access and provide recreational opportunities for all. As one of the oldest trails in Ohio, VK was truly a pioneer in mountain biking and paved the way for what is now a thriving mountain bike community in northeastern and central Ohio. As a cornerstone of the mtb community, we host races, a festival, and group rides for all skill levels and abilities to join in. When not packed with riders during events, the Knob is a peaceful haven tucked away from society to get a break from the bustling world. The trail is managed by a volunteer board of directors and all of the maintenance is done through volunteer hours and trail days. Every dollar donated goes directly back to the trail in the form of supplies for bridge replacements, fuel for the mowers and tractors, or paying the bills to keep the Knob open and the lights on.
