Dedicated to saving homeless dogs and cats, Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) provides rescue, medical care, and adoption services in the Washington DC metropolitan area. More than 16,000 cats and dogs have found a safe haven with FOHA over the last 47 years. FOHA relies on the support of volunteers and donations to continue our rescue efforts. FOHA continues to be unique among the local animal rescue groups in its strict no-kill policies, the quality and extent of veterinary care it provides, training in basic manners and behavior modification when necessary, its lifetime return policy for all animals adopted, and the size and quality of its facilities, onsite staff, and volunteers. All of our regular kennels are both heated and air-conditioned, with indoor and outdoor space accessible to its single inhabitant, comfortable bedding, and an outdoor yard for extended playtime.
