Freedom Reigns Ranch seeks to ignite hope with the help of a horse by providing mentor sessions for children and young adults who have been through traumatic events and other life challenges. All of our services are offered completely free-of-charge. We offer 4 distinct mentorship programs: Individual Sessions, Junior Ranchers (Small Group Mentorship Program), Special Circumstance Group Sessions, and Family Sessions. 

Freedom Reigns Ranch also partners with local equine rescues to foster and rehabilitate horses who have been through abuse and neglect and our participants are able to play a part in their rehabilitative process. Most of the horses we rehabilitate become a part of our beloved session herd and are a tangible representation of God's redemption.

We serve children and young adults ages 6-35 years old in Middle Tennessee who are victims of abuse, neglect, and sexual assault; who are struggling with mental illness (anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-injury, suicidal ideation, OCD, PTSD); and/or who are struggling with basic human interactions. Horses, by nature, are relational animals whose desire to engage is based on trust. In herds, horses give up control and accept vulnerability, with the expectation of being protected from harm. Horse-human partnerships are based on the same dynamic. Participants build trust with the horse and, in doing so, learn to build trust with people and with God. Learning horsemanship skills and how to care for horses gives participants confidence and teaches them their inherent value as they accomplish tasks and learn to partner with a horse. Pairing individuals and groups with mentors give participants a safe person to talk to and receive guidance from. Mentors are trained to know how to guide conversations and activities to build up and encourage the participants.
