FIRST is an acronym for Foundation for Independence, Recreation, and Social Training, we are a unique not-for-profit service organisation that coordinates social and community access, in home disability support, overnight support, culturally appropriate services and innovative training programs for its members and users. FIRST assists individuals living with a disability to find a valued role in society by supporting them to achieve their goals. Our members participate in various programs at our two centres based in Eagleby and Loganholme. These programs include visual arts and music. Which provide our members with an opportunity to express themselves in many different ways. It allows freedom to those individuals who have limited mobility and communication skills but can still actively participate and create in an arts framework. Donations would benefit our members by helping us to provide resources to continue our programs and training and through these give our members the opportunity to shine.
