About us
The Faribault County Humane Society (FCHS) is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization ran entirely by a board and volunteers, and is located in Blue Earth, MN. FCHS is a no-kill shelter that also acts as the local animal impound. OUR HISTORY The Faribault County Humane Society was originally established in 1985. In 2024 we rebranded as New Chances Humane Society (NCHS) we have undergone an incredible journey to get to where we are today, When we started off as Faribault county Humane society we were a small shed, yes you read that right a shed. We had our basic needs water, ac, heat, food but very fast we saw a need to improve and be better and bigger. We found a small factory and purchased it we have a beautiful facility now that has come a long way from the old days of the "shack" We are constantly thriving to be better and do more for our community and the animals that reside with in our community and surrounding areas. We do encourage volunteers to bring their kids and make it a family event. The only way we can educate the minds of tomorrow is by helping the youth of today realize the need in our area is great. I ask that anyone who is interested in donating or volunteering to please reach out we couldn't do what we do to help our community with out the great people who help us help the animals
