ERC Vic provides camps for children, young people and families from disadvantaged backgrounds. With approximately 250 active volunteer leaders who are mostly aged between 17 - 30 years, we run 12-14 camps per year in an atmosphere of acceptance, care and fun. Many of those who participate in our camps don't get to experience a holiday that is full of fun and often new experiences. With no government funding, we rely on grants and donations to ensure people have the opportunity to step out of their day to day lives and step into an amazing camp environment. This may include trips to the beach, hiking through the bush, learning new skills and making new friends. Some of our camps are targeted at particular groups such as refugees and asylum seekers and indigenous young people.
