Drive a Senior Northwest provides free transportation to seniors living in Cedar Park, Leander, and NW Austin so they may live independently in their own homes longer, have access to healthcare and nutritious food, and stay active and connected to their community.  DASNW organizes volunteers to provide these rides to their senior neighbors at no cost, allowing neighbors to help neighbors, providing a vital service and a flexible rewarding volunteer opportunity.  The need is great - more funding and more volunteers are needed to help keep up with the demand.  Our service area has little to no public transit and our senior neighbors who have had to give up driving, are at risk for declining health and increased isolation.  Our program is the only option for these vulnerable senior neighbors, and community support is crucial to meeting the need.
