About us
The Coalition of Concerned Black Christian Men (CCBCM) is organized as a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization exclusively for charitable, educational and community outreach purposes, including, for such purposes, awarding annual scholarships, providing monthly food assistance and making monetary distributions to persons in need of assistance and organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The Coalition of Concerned Black Christian Men is also registered as a tax-exempt non-stock corporation with the state of Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation, Charter Division.
The CCBCM was established to provide a Black male presence in the lives of young people and families in the county to improve their quality of life spiritually, educationally and socially. We provide annual scholarships to Prince George's high school seniors attending high schools in the county. We also provide monetary donations and monthly food SHARE baskets to the Fort Washington Food Pantry and identified families living in the county that are in need of assistance. Since 1993 we have awarded $642,000 dollars in scholarships to (705) students and since 2002 provided $193,394 in food and donations to food pantries and families in need of assistance through our community outreach programs and since March 2020 provided $37,360 in financial assistance to county residents impacted by COVID-19 to help supplement their rent, food, utilities and medicines.
