About us
Cat Association of Topeka (CAT) is a non-profit, no-kill cat shelter that was started in 1988 by five individuals that saw a need for an alternative than the traditional animal shelter for cats and kittens in the community. The mission to provide a safe, healthy and loving environment for kittens and cats until they could find their furever home. That mission and commitment the foundation of CAT to this day. We will not euthanize simply to make room, we accept the cats in the condition they come to us and provide vet care, a loving and warm environment until they are adopted or they cross over the rainbow bridge. All support goes to continue to provide a safe and healthy environment for the cats.
