BIRCH Network is a small grassroots charity providing welcome and support to newly arrived sanctuary seekers and refugees in Birmingham and surrounding areas. We want to improve the confidence, connections and resilience of local sanctuary seekers and reduce their isolation.

We harness the support of the local community, and a wide pool of over 50 volunteers to help us offer safe spaces for sanctuary seekers to build community and to support their integration to the local community.

We offer outreach support in asylum hotels, run a busy youth hub for unaccompanied minors and young people, befriending support and a range of wellbeing trips and activities.

We are just launching a new Welcome Hub aimed at offering English language and communication support, integration activities and connections to local groups. The hub is aimed at sanctuary seekers and refugees across the city.

We work closely with other asylum and migration organisations across the city with the aim to make Birmingham a welcoming city where residents stand in solidarity with people seeking sanctuary.
