The Bionics Institute solves medical challenges with technology and we lead the world in the research and development of innovative medical devices and therapies to improve human health.The Bionics Institute has an impressive track record of translating medical device concepts into clinical reality, dating back to 1986 when it was founded by Professor Graeme Clark. Professor Clark led the team that created Australiaʼs cochlear implant, which has given hearing to more than 600,000 deaf people around the world.Since then, the generosity of our supporters has enabled our researchers to develop medical devices that will transform the lives of people with a range of conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, hearing impairment, Crohnʼs disease, limb loss, chronic pain, Parkinsonʼs disease, and arthritis.Every donation you make, no matter what size, makes a real difference to help us develop the treatments you and your loved ones need.
