1 in 4 women experience family and intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Violence may be psychological, emotional, physical, sexual, economic and spiritual abuse that damages the victim/survivor on a physical, mental, emotional and/or social level. And it’s not ok.

Battered Women's Trust provides a Crisis Response and ongoing support services to women and children in need. The goal is to empower women to make healthy and safe choices for themselves, and their families, so that they can live free from family violence, with hope for the future.

Services include:

- 24/7 Crisis and Support Line

- Confidential listening and support

- Safe Emergency Housing (including Battered Women’s Trust’s own Safehouse)

- 10-week Education Group

- Free Counselling

- Advocacy

- Family Violence Education

- Support Group
